One month after arriving from India, where I stayed with Srila Gurudev and his associates, I went to Porto Alegre in South Brazil. I was invited by Partha Sarathi Prabhu and Shivanandini Devi Dasi, our leaders there. I am writing this article because it was so inspiring for me to see how Srila Gurudev and Mahaprabhu are blessing the devotees there and how fast our Mission is growing in the hands of this wonderful couple, Partha Sarathi Prabhu and Shivanandini Devi Dasi. Just to give you an idea, Shivanandini Devi Dasi has a television show with Partha Sarathi Prabhu where she openly preaches Krishna consciousness, while Partha Sarathi Prabhu works back stage, filming, editing and doing all that is necessary to make the programme presentable to the public. It's a dream: a TV show that you can preach openly on -- can you imagine that?!
Besides this, they have an extremely beautiful and completely dignified ashram in the countryside area of Porto Alegre (a city which has 4 million inhabitants, including the people who live in the suburbs) to receive the guests they are inviting in every TV programme they present.
Our ashram there has more or less 20,000 square metres, and is full of fruit trees, has one cow and her calf, dogs, cats, one small pond, the Temple and accommodation for devotees. All together there are thirty or forty devotees in the area, and many more are inspired to take initiation.
I feel so fortunate to have this possibility of serving this Worldwide Mission. Srila Gurudev's blessings are inconceivable and to see things happening in such a way just gives me more and more faith that his blessings are not bound by time and space.
