Nabadwip Dham - the holy place where Lord Krishna, out of compassion for the fallen souls, appeared as the Golden Avatar, Sriman Mahaprabhu, to distribute love of Himself. More than 500 years later, the aspiring devotees of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, under the guidance of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, continue this mission in disciplic succession from Srila Rupa Goswami.
On a typical evening prior to a village preaching programme, Sripad Acharyya Maharaj is confirming that everything is in order before setting off.
The brahmacharis are waiting around the Sumo which is already packed with arati paraphernalia, musical instruments, etc.
   
It is not unusual for the party's arrival to cause a little bit of excitement in the remote villages...
...and the welcome is extremely warm!
   
The crowd looks on while preparations are carried out.
On this occasion Prabhu Sadhu Priya plays the mridanga as Sripad Acharyya Maharaj starts the evening programme with nagar-sankirttan.
   
Everyone, young and old, joins in. And many pay their respects from the doorsteps of their humble homes.
After some very active Harinam in the very hot and humid climate of the summer months, it is necessary to cool off before progressing with the programme.
